Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve or TATR as it is also popularly known is one of the Largest, Oldest & Unique Tiger Reserves in Maharashtra. It is a Southern Dry Deciduous type of Forest comprising of vast clusters of Bamboo along with big trees like Teak, Saal, Tendu etc

 

The presence of multiple water bodies within the reserve attract different species of birds and animals during the dry and hot summer season. The presence of a healthy population of Tigers in the reserve is its biggest attraction, however one can also see the other equally important inhabitants like the Sloth Bear, Spotted Deer, Sambhar Deer etc.

 

Apart from the big carnivores & herbivores, the park is home to a lot of Birds, Reptiles & Insects - some of which are now on the IUCN Threatened or Endangered list.
