“CHADAR” trek has become extremely popular in the past few years and forms part of everyone's bucket list. It is, however, an extremely challenging trek, with no option of turning back midway. For those who want to experience walking on a frozen river without the extreme adventure of Chadar, we bring you the Frozen Indus Trek! A trek that allows you to take in this extraordinary high altitude trekking experience at your own pace and leisure! 

 

Join Canvas N Chrome as we take you skating & sliding on the frozen & slippery Indus River valley surrounded by mountains for an experience of a lifetime!

 

 

 

Itinerary:

 

8 days / 7 nights

 

Day 1: Fly in to Leh & Report to Guest House

 

Day 2: Local sightseeing

 

Day 3: Start Point of Trek

Drive from Leh to the start point of the trek. 

 

Day 4: Trek to Camp 2

 

Day 5: Trek to Camp 3

 

Day 6: Trek to Camp 4

 

Day 7: Drive back to Leh

 

Day 8: Check out & Fly out of Leh

Check out of Hotel & Head for Leh Airport for Flight back home..

 

Notes:

 

Direct flights to Leh are available only from Delhi and the same usually take off very early in the morning. Guests flying to Leh will need to fly in to Delhi on the previous night and take the early morning DEL-IXL flight.

Cancellation Policy

 

Standard administrative charge of 10% of the cost of the trip

Between 45 - 30 days: 25% of the Trip Cost

Between 29 - 20 days: 50% of the Trip Cost

Between 19 - 10 days: 75% of the Trip Cost

Less than 9 days from date of departure: 100% of the Trip Cost

Cost inclusions

 

  • All Surface Transfers from Leh to Leh

  • Accommodation in Leh for 3 Nights on Twin Sharing with Breakfast & Dinner

  • Accommodation during Trek in Alpine Tents along with Sleeping bag to sustain temperature upto -40°C

  • All meals during the trek duration are included and would be simple, nourishing, & vegetarian.

  • Services of Experienced guide, cook, & porters during trek

  • Basic Medical kit & Oxygen cylinder

  • Trekking/Walking Poles & Gum Boots would be provided for the trek

  • All entry fees & permits

 

 

Cost exclusions

 

  • Cost for Airfare, Train fare, Insurance Premiums

  • Cost of any Individual Airport / Railway station transfer

  • Porter to carry rucksack during Chadar Trek (Can be hired @ Rs.250/- per day for 1 backpack of 6 Kg)

  • Down/Feather Jacket (Can be hired @ Rs.750/- for entire trek duration)

  • Cost of green tax, environment surcharge (if any), etc.

  • Service Tax @ 3.5% of trip cost

 

  • * * * Special Note:- In case of ill health or any other reason, if any participant has to turn back to Leh, the cost of heading back to Leh (Travel + Porter) along with the Cost of stay in Leh has to be borne by the Participant himself/herself.

     

 

  • Any Increase in the Hotel tariff charges. Difference in cost arising due to change in Taxes by the Government which will have to be collected directly ON ARRIVAL. 

 

  • Cost for supplementary service, optional Tours, Up-gradation Charges, and camera charges.

  • Cost for service provided on a personal request.

  • Bottled Water, Soft Drinks, Laundry Charges, Room Service, incidentals, porter charges Or any other expense of personal nature

  • Cost for any other service not mentioned in the 'cost inclusions' above

 

  • Difference in cost arising due to mishaps, political unrest, natural calamities, etc. In such case extra will have to be paid on the spot by the guest directly.

  • Extra cost incurred due to an illness, accident, hospitalization or any Individual unforeseen cost incurring incidence.

  • Personal / accident insurance.

  • Anything other than that mentioned in the inclusions above
